Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids for reinforcement of Balme de Rencurel Dam in France by grout injections and other civil rehabilitation work. Bids are due February 26.
Recent rehabilitation on EDF projects includes bidding February 3 for a trashrack and downstream fish passage at the 8-MW Pebernat project, in December to renovate the command and control systems of six projects on the lower Maulde River, and in September to rehabilitate the power tunnel and replace penstock sections and the discharge conduit of the 34-MW Sabart.
While having no hydropower generation of its own, Balme de Rencurel Dam is one of three sources of water for EDF’s 27.2-MW Bornillon hydroelectric project.
EDF seeks bids to reinforce the dam with grout injections. Work also includes flushing of the impoundment, rehabilitation of the upstream face of the dam, demolition and reprofiling of the weir, changing the water intake structure and reinforcing and raising the left side wall. The work also includes options for renovation of a bottom valve.
Tender documents may be obtained until 10 a.m. February 26 from the address below. For ease in asking and answering questions, applicants are encouraged to use the EDF procurement Internet site, http://portail-achats.edf.com.
