HydroVision speaker spotlight: Jessica Harrison, MISO

Jessica Harrison, director of research and development at MISO (Midcontinent Independent System Operator), is speaking during a session in the Market Trends and Asset Strategies track at HydroVision International 2019.

The session is entitled: Leading Edge, Not Bleeding Edge – Asset Management Solutions. During this session, attendees will learn about leading-edge solutions and applied technologies that can transform their asset management. Participants will learn about topics such as asset management informative tools, virtual twins, supply chain management for cybersecurity, risk management, prioritization of capital investments and how changing operations are informing equipment operating ranges.

Harrison has a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Michigan and master’s degrees in technology and policy, and civil and environmental engineering from MIT.

MISO is a not-for-profit member-based organization that ensures reliable, least-cost delivery of electricity across all or parts of 15 U.S. states and one Canadian province. MISO manages about 65,000 miles of high-voltage transmission and 200,000 MW of power-generating resources across its footprint.
