A truly international event: Nearly 30 countries already represented at HYDROVISION

HYDROVISION International is always located somewhere in the U.S. – minus our one foray to Canada more than a decade ago – but it is truly an international event.

In fact, HYDROVISION International 2019 boasted attendees from nearly 50 countries.

Already for the 2020 event, we have speakers from Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, India, New Zealand, Slovenia, Switzerland and the UK. Additionally, we have attendees registered from Albania, Canada, Germany, Ghana, Iceland, India, Laos, Liberia, Mali, Nepal, Netherlands, Pakistan, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

Even some of our exhibitors hail from outside the U.S., with exhibiting companies headquartered in Austria, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, India, Israel, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK. The exhibit hall at HYDROVISION International also contains two European Pavilion areas, with seven companies already signed up to showcase their goods and services there.

One important aspect of the international element of HYDROVISION is that it is an official U.S. Department of Commerce Global Partnership Program event.

GPP is a joint government-industry effort that brings thousands of international buyers to the U.S. for business-to-business matchmaking with U.S. firms at major industry trade shows. Every year, the GPP results in about $1 billion in new business for U.S. companies, according to export.gov.

In 2019, delegations came to HYDROVISION International from eight countries: Argentina, Bhutan, Brazil, Canada, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iceland, Pakistan and Uruguay.

For attendees, this provides an opportunity to talk to delegates from outside the U.S., both buyers of U.S. products and services in the hydro and dams markets and hydro plant owners and operators and plant personnel.

There will be networking opportunities and a USDOC International Trade Center, with special conference pricing for official international buyer delegations. For more information, contact Crystal Mills at [email protected].

HYDROVISION also offers special rates for international attendees, along with a power producer training program rate for owners and operators.

And we offer plenty of content to appeal to attendees from all areas of the industry, with eight conference tracks covering a range of job titles and interests, along with extended educational opportunities in our three Knowledge Hubs in the exhibit hall. Click here to see more.
