Austria municipality seeks construction of Melach Unterstufe

Municipal utility Elektrizitatswerk Kematen invites applications for pre-qualification to build a powerhouse and pressure pipeline for the Melach Unterstufe hydroelectric plant in Austria. Responses are due August 31.

Kematen previously announced it plans to seek bids to build a new lower level power plant at Melach, including a powerhouse, pressure pipeline, mechanical and electro-technical equipment, and hydraulic steel construction. (HNN 6/11/07)

The current solicitation is to pre-qualify builders for the powerhouse and pressure pipeline components.

Applications for pre-qualification, in German, are due by 10 a.m. August 31. Kematen plans to send invitations to bid September 14 to about 10 short-listed companies.
