Austria operator seeks steel work for two 18-MW projects

Utility STEWEAG-STEG GmbH seeks bids for hydraulic steel construction at two 18-MW hydroelectric projects on the Mur River south of Graz. Bids are due May 6.

The company seeks bids for hydraulic steel construction including weir systems and fish ladders for the run-of-river 18-MW Gossendorf and 18-MW Kalsdorf hydro projects. STEWEAG-STEG last year called for bids for supply of two 9-MW horizontal Kaplan turbines at each site. (HNN 2/1/07)

The latest work is to require 42 months for completion.
