Austria utility seeks 1.9-MW unit for Gstatterboden weir

Verbund Austrian Hydro Power AG seeks bids for supply of a turbine-generator for Gstatterboden weir on Austria’s Enns River. Bid documents must be obtained by April 23, with bids due June 15.

Verbund seeks planning, design, supply, installation, testing, and start-up of a 1.995-MW horizontal Kaplan turbine-generator designed for a flow of 25 cms and a head of 9.9 meters, a governor, and instrumentation for installation at a power plant on Gstatterboden weir. The work is to be performed between September 2007 and December 2009.

Gstatterboden is part of the hydropower development on the Enns that includes the 63-MW Hieflau hydroelectric project, which is undergoing refurbishment. (HNN 2/9/07)
