Baird appointed global strategic advisor at Hatch

The Hon. John Russell Baird P.C. has been appointed global strategic advisor at Canadian engineering, consulting, project delivery and technology firm Hatch.

Baird previously was Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. He has held numerous positions within the government of Canada, including Minister of the Environment, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure and President of the Treasury Board.

“Baird will be invaluable in advancing our business globally with his in-depth knowledge of international markets,” said Hatch Chief Executive Officer John Bianchini. “His stellar international standing and his considerable expertise in global affairs make him a natural fit for Hatch as we expand our footprint in the energy, mining and infrastructure sectors.”

Hatch is an employee-owned firm with a presence in more than 150 countries and more than $35 billion in projects currently under management.
