Bosnia seeks equipment for rehab of 110-MW Bocac

The electric utility of Bosnia’s Serb Republic, Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske, seeks bids for supply of electrical equipment for refurbishment of the 110-MW Bocac hydroelectric project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bids are due March 25.

The European Investment Bank approved a 103 million euro (US$134.7 million) loan to Bosnia and Herzegovina for rehabilitation of hydroelectric plants and electricity distribution systems. Elektroprivreda RS and two other regional utilities in Bosnia recruited consultants in 2007 to assist in dam safety and rehabilitation work at several hydroelectric projects including Bocac. The current solicitation seeks bids for reconstruction of uninterruptible power supply systems, generator excitation systems, and turbine governing systems.
