Brandstatt named managing director at Lahmeyer International

Dr. Thomas Brandstatt has been named managing director at Lahmeyer International, responsible for the newly created position of strategy and mergers and acquisitions for the Lahmeyer Group.

Dr. Brandstatt previously was vice president of Bilfinger Industrial Services North America in Texas, U.S. He joined Bilfinger in 2011. Before that, he worked for Hochtief AF, including managing company acquisitions and their integration and heading the foreign division of Hochtief Services Solutions. He also worked at TU Kaiserslautern and as a consultant.

He has “extensive international experience in engineering, plant construction, operation and maintenance” and mergers and acquisitions, according to a press release.

“It is important to me to maintain the strong positioning for our company in the changing markets, through change and growth, in order to continue to compete in the future and remain an important partner for our clients,” he says.

Dr. Brandstatt graduated from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern as a Business Engineer (mechanical engineering and business administration).

Lahmeyer offers planning and consultancy services in the fields of energy, hydropower, water resources, building and transportation. It is part of the Engie Group.
