Carle named COO of Litostroj Hydro

Hugo Carle has been named chief operating officer of Litostroj Hydro Inc.

Carle, who comes from outside Litostroj Hydro, will lead the office in Bromont, Quebec, Canada, which offers competitive technical solutions and efficient project implementation for customers in Canada, the U.S. and Central America, according to a press release.

The announcement was made by Janez Dornik, president of the Litostroj Hydro board of directors. Dornik said he would remain involved in the company as senior advisor and focus on strategic market development.

Carle has worked in the hydroelectric power industry since 1991 on multiple small and large projects in North America and worldwide. He has held various engineering and management positions for power producer, engineering and equipment manufacturing companies involved in new and rehabilitation projects.

Litostroj Hydro offers integrated solutions for hydro energy equipment from design to implementation on a turnkey basis.

Hydropower projects the company has been involved with include 40.6-MW Big Silver Creek and 49.9-MW Kwoiek Creek, both in British Columbia, Canada.
