China Hydroelectric completes sale of 30-MW Yuheng hydro project

China Hydroelectric Corporation has completed the sale of the 30-MW Yuheng hydroelectric project to an undisclosed buyer, HydroWorld.com has learned.

The company (NYSE: CHC) announced it had sold the Yuheng plant in October 2012 for US$44.3 million, resulting in net proceeds of $20.8 million for China Hydroelectric after the assumption of debt by the buyer.

Sale of the Yuheng project drops China Hydroelectric‘s cumulative installed capacity to 517.8 MW, spread across 25 hydropower plants.

The Yuheng plant is located in China’s Fujian province.
