Consultants sought for Afghan water resources program

The government of Afghanistan invites expressions of interest from consultants to support water resources planning and supervision of investment programs. Responses are due January 24.

With funding requested from the World Bank’s International Development Association, the government plans to recruit consultants to help build capacity of government staff to undertake water resources and river basin planning, and investment project preparation, and to develop prioritized, sequenced, multi-sector investment programs.

It also seeks technical supervision of planning and project preparation activities. It also seeks project management support for procurement, financial management, monitoring, and evaluation. The work is to require four years.

Expressions of interest of no more than five pages are to be submitted by e-mail to the address below. The same text and other materials also may be sent in paper copies to the address below.
