Corps to seek bids to demolish crane at 532-MW Bonneville First

The Corps of Engineers plans to seek proposals to dispose of the intake deck gantry crane at 532-MW Bonneville First Powerhouse on the Columbia River in Oregon and Washington.

The solicitation is expected to be available about Nov. 6, seeking bids Dec. 7.

The Corps’ Portland District said it intends to award a contract for demolition of the crane at the Bonneville Lock and Dam powerhouse. In addition, the contract calls for removal of 19 intake gates and ten hydraulic cylinders.

The solicitation package will be issued in electronic format only on Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS), on the Internet at www.fedteds.gov. Vendors must register with FedTeDS and on the Central Contracting Register, on the Internet at www.ccr.gov.
