Croatia seeks consultants for water projects

The government of Croatia seeks expressions of interest from consultants to perform feasibility studies of flood management, water supply, and wastewater projects in the Sava and Drava River basins. Responses are due September 15.

Utilizing a Japan Policy and Human Resources Development Fund (PHRD) grant for a World Bank Inland Waters Project, the Croatian national water agency, Hrvatske Vode, seeks consultants offering technical, economic, and environmental expertise.

Consultants are to advise the government on: a flood management component to finance rehabilitation and expansion of dikes, canals, and related structures; and a water supply and wastewater component, which could include investments in source development, water treatment, and sewerage systems.
