French utility awards valve rehab for 800-MW Revin

Electricite de France has awarded a contract for replacement of valves at the 800-MW Revin pumped-storage project in France.

The utility named Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation of Germany to replace spherical and auxiliary valves and related electro-mechanical equipment at Revin, which was built in 1976. The project includes four 200-MW pump-turbines.
