French utility seeks civil work for 2.6-MW D’Echirolles

Utility Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids to perform civil work for the addition of two turbine-generators for the 2.6-MW D’Echirolles hydroelectric project on France’s Drac River. Bids are due February 4.

EDF said the plant is to be built at the end of the outlet channel of EDF’s Drac Inferieur hydro plant. An EDF unit invited bids in 2004 to supply two 1.3-MW bulb turbines, generators, and other equipment for D’Echirolles.

The current solicitation is for civil engineering to install generating units at the site, at Echirolles in Isere Department. The work is to require 18 months.

Documents, in French, may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in French, are due by 5 p.m. February 4.
