Evangelista Albertini, chief executive officer of Hydro Tasmania, will be speaking during the Thursday morning utility executive roundtable session at HYDROVISION International 2021.
Hydro Tasmania is Australia’s largest hydro company by volume generated, with more than 30 hydropower stations and a hydro consulting business, Entura, operating internationally. Hydro Tasmania’s mainland retail business, Momentum Energy, sells electricity and gas on mainland Australia and on the Bass Strait Islands.
Albertini was appointed to his position in September 2020 and has an extensive history with Hydro Tasmania. He started with Hydro Tasmania as a trainee in 1982 before heading off in 1988 to expand his industry experience, in Australia and internationally. He returned in 2002 as group manager for Power Engineering Hydro Tasmania Consulting (now Entura). Albertini later served as chief operations officer for nine years with responsibility for the operation, maintenance and capital enhancement of Hydro Tasmania’s power generation infrastructure portfolio. Most recently, he was chief asset management and investment officer.
Albertini will participate virtually from Australia, given current travel restrictions related to COVID-19.
This utility executive roundtable will feature several C-level executives from electricity generating companies, discussing current hot topics for the global hydropower industry. The session is open to all attendees.
