India agency renews rehab tender for 540-MW Bhakra Left

Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has reissued a solicitation for bids to renovate the 540-MW Bhakra Left Bank hydro powerhouse in India’s Himachal Pradesh State.

Bid documents must be obtained by May 19, with bids due June 19.

BBMB seeks modernization and uprating of the five Hitachi Francis turbines, AEI generators, and other equipment, increasing capacity to 630 MW.

Tender documents may be obtained from the address below for 40,000 rupees (US$900) by crossed demand draft payable to Senior Accounts Officer, BBMB, Chandigarh. The tender form also can be obtained from BBMB’s Internet site, www.bbmb.gov.in.
