India developer seeks gates for 1,000-MW Tehri

Tehri Hydro Development Corp. Ltd. (THDC) seeks bids by March 30 to supply a series of gates for the 1,000-MW Tehri Dam project on the Bhagirathi River in Uttaranchal State.

THDC, a joint venture of the Indian government and Uttaranchal State, seeks fabrication, supply, installation, and commissioning of a maintenance gate, two draft tube gates, and a tailrace tunnel outlet gate. Work is to require 11 months.

Tender documents, No. THDC/TH/C&MM/2005-06/13, may be obtained until March 27 from the address below for 1,100 rupees (US$24) by demand draft, pay order, or cash payable at B. Puram, Tehri. Two-part bids, pre-qualification and techno-commercial bid, and a price bid, are due by 1 p.m. March 30.
