India developer seeks equipment bids for 5-MW Rukti 2

India developer Door Sanchar Hydro Power Private Ltd. seeks bids for supply of turbine-generators and other equipment for the 5-MW Rukti 2 hydroelectric project in India’s Himachal Pradesh State. Bids are due June 17, 2009.

Door Sanchar plans the project for the left bank of Rukti Khad, a tributary of the Baspa River, near Sangla in Kinnaur District.

The developer seeks bids to supply two 2.5-MW Pelton turbines designed for a head of 270 meters. Other equipment includes two horizontal-axis synchronous generators, governors, main inlet valves, auxiliary systems, and outdoor switchyard equipment.

Bid documents in English may be obtained from the address below until June 1 for a fee of 10,000 rupees or US$210 for foreign bidders. Charges for document delivery are 5,000 rupees within India and US$125 overseas.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. June 3. Bids are due by 2 p.m. June 17.
