India firm seeks transformers for six small sites

Bihar State Hydro Electric Power Corp. Ltd. seeks bids by May 26 and 27 for generator and station transformers for six small hydro projects in India’s Bihar State. Bid documents must be obtained by May 16.

Bihar seeks equipment for low-head irrigation canal drop projects of between 250 kW and 1.5 MW.

Generator main auxiliary transformers are to be outdoor-type, oil-filled with a voltage ratio of 0.415/11 kilovolts and capacities between 350 and 2,100 kilovolt-amperes. Station auxiliary transformers are to be indoor dry-type with a voltage ratio of 0.415/0.415 kV and capacities between 63 and 100 kVa.

Bid documents are available until May 16 for 10,000 rupees (US$225) for generator transformers and 1,250 rupees (US$28) for station transformers, plus 250 rupees (US$5.62) for delivery by post. The amount is payable in cash or by crossed demand draft to Bihar State Hydro Electric Power Corp. at any government-owned bank in Patna.

Two-part bids are due by 1 p.m. May 26 for generator transformers and by 1 p.m. May 27 for station transformers.
