India state seeks studies of 60-MW Tidong 2

Himachal Pradesh Power Corp. Ltd. (HPPC) invites expressions of interest from consultants to perform studies and prepare bid documents for the 60-MW Tidong Stage 2 hydroelectric project on the Tidong River in India’s Himachal Pradesh State. Responses are due May 11.

The state-owned HPPC plans the run-of-river project for the Satluj River tributary in Tehsil Morang of Kinnaur District. HPPC said Tidong 2 is to be an upstream development of the 70-MW Tidong 1 project, which is being implemented as an independent power project. (HNN 12/10/08)

HPPC seeks consultants to prepare a feasibility study, detailed project report, environmental impact assessment, and bid documents for the project. The work is expected to require 18 person-months over 24 months.
