India utility seeks EM equipment for 600-MW Loharinag Pala

India’s NTPC Ltd., formerly National Thermal Power Corp., seeks bids by June 9 for electro-mechanical equipment for the 600-MW Loharinag Pala hydroelectric project on the Bhagirathi River in Uttaranchal State. Bid documents must be obtained by May 26.

NTPC seeks design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning of a complete electro-mechanical package, including four 153.1-MW vertical Pelton turbines, governors, spherical main inlet valve, four 166.67-megavolt-ampere generators, excitation system, butterfly valves, three cranes, mechanical and electrical auxiliaries, and a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.

Bid documents for No. CS-5506-906-2 may be obtained until 3 p.m. May 26 from the address below for 22,500 rupees for domestic bidders or US$500 for foreign bidders. Payment is to be by account payee demand draft to NTPC Ltd., New Delhi.
