Liechtenstein utility seeks replacement turbines for 10.2-MW Samina

Liechtenstein utility Liechtensteinische Kraftwerke (LKW) seeks bids for replacement turbines for the 10.2-MW Samina hydroelectric project. Bids are due January 23, 2009.

LKW seeks supply and assembly of two Pelton turbines of between 7 and 18 MW, plus hydraulic and electrical controls, for Samina, built in 1947 in the Malbuntal and Valunatal catchment. The work, which is valued at 2 million Swiss francs (US$1.6 million), is expected to be performed between August and December 2010.

Bid documents may be obtained from the address below until December 17. Bids, in German, are due by 5 p.m. January 23, 2009.
