Lund joins Gannett Fleming as a dams and hydraulics engineer

Guy S. Lund, P.E., is now principal engineer in Gannett Fleming’s Dams and Hydraulics Practice.

In this position, Lund will serve clients in the hydropower sector and assist in further development of this practice in the West region.

Lund has worked in the dams and hydropower industry for more than three decades, Gannett Fleming says, and has extensive knowledge of dam safety, design, analysis, inspection and project management. He served as a consultant on the independent technical review team for the Gilboa Dam rehabilitation project.

“Bringing Guy onboard represents a major milestone in Gannett Fleming’s ongoing efforts to balance our capabilities across all geographic areas of the country with broad and specialized technical capabilities,” says Dean Durkee, PhD, P.E., vice president and West regional director of earth science and hydraulics for Gannett Fleming.

Lund has a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University. He is a registered professional engineer in 14 states and a certified project manager. He serves on the board of directors for the U.S. Society on Dams.

Before joining Gannett Fleming, Lund was principal civil/structural engineer with URS Corp.

Lund will be based in Denver.
