Montenegro seeks civil, reservoir testing for 342-MW Piva

Montenegro utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) seeks bids for testing of civil structures, reservoir capacity, and unstable areas as part of rehabilitation of the 342-MW Piva hydroelectric project on the Piva River. Bids are due January 31.

With 16 million euros (US$20.4 million) in credits from Germany’s Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau (KfW), EPCG plans refurbishment of electrical and electro-mechanical equipment and civil structures of Piva. (HNN 11/27/06) It previously recruited technical assistance and, in 2004, awarded a contract to Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation for first phase reconstruction of electro-mechanical equipment.

EPCG seeks bids for test services for any or all of three lots:
o Part 2/1: Testing of Civil Structures;
o Part 2/2: Testing of Reservoir Sedimentation and Storage Capacity;
o Part 2/3: Testing of Unstable Areas and Grout Curtain Conditions.

A mandatory site visit is scheduled January 14-15. Bid documents, in English, may be obtained from the address below. Documents will be sent by DHL or e-mail at no cost.
