Montenegro seeks rehab consultant for 342-MW Piva

Montenegro utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) seeks bids for technical assistance to rehabilitate and modernize the 342-MW Piva hydroelectric project. Responses are due December 26.

With 16 million euros (US$20.4 million) in credits from Germany’s Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau (KfW), EPCG plans refurbishment of electrical and electro-mechanical equipment and civil structures. In 2004, EPCG awarded a contract worth 1.04 million euros (US$1.28 million) to Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation for first phase reconstruction of electro-mechanical equipment.

The current tender is for a technical assistance contract to total 1.2 million euros (US$1.5 million). Bids are to be due December 26.
