Montenegro seeks turbine runner for 307-MW Perucica

Montenegro utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore AD-Niksic (EPCG) seeks bids to supply a spare Pelton turbine runner for the 307-MW Perucica hydroelectric project on Montenegro’s Gornja Zeta River. Bids are due February 17.

The utility has received financing from the World Bank and the European Investment Bank for rehabilitation of Perucica. It took bids in December for a trashrack and trashrack cleaning machine. (HNN 10/27/08) Other procurement is to include spare turbine runners for Units 1 to 5 of Perucica and electric system transmission and telecommunications work.

The current solicitation seeks a spare Pelton runner of about 2.7 meters in diameter for a twin-runner horizontal Pelton turbine-generator rated at 58.5 MW.

A complete set of bid documents in English may be obtained by written application to the address below with a fee of 500 euros (US$659). The document fee must be paid by direct deposit to the accounts below stating �Payment for purchase of the bidding documents – Supply of Pelton turbine runner.�
