Mozambique seeks consultants to advise Energy Ministry

Mozambique’s Ministry of Energy seeks expressions of interest from consultants to help build human resource and organizational capacity of the Ministry of Energy. Responses are due November 26.

In addition to its World Bank-funded plans to reform its energy system, the government is to receive a grant from Norway to help with the ministry’s institutional capacity development. (HNN 11/1/07)

The ministry seeks a consultant to advise on capacity enhancement in development of energy strategies, regulations, larger power export projects, promotion of renewable energy, and other areas. Consultants are to have experience in energy sector planning, administration, financial management, hydropower project development and power exports, renewable energy, and downstream liquid fuel sector development. Experience in similar work, preferably in Africa, is desirable.

Expressions of interest and qualifications, in two hard copies and one electronic version on CD, are due by 3 p.m. November 26.
