Mozambique water project includes work at 38.4-MW Chicamba Dam

A Mozambique water agency invites applications for pre-qualification to design and build a water supply project including civil work at 38.4-MW Chicamba Dam. Responses are due April 23.

The Fundo de Investimento e Patrimonio do Abastecimento de Agua (FIPAG) seeks firms for design, construction, and commissioning of the Chimoio, Manica, and Gondola Water Supply System project.

Work is to include upgrading of intake works at Chicamba Dam, on the Revue River in Manica State, to allow for raw water pumping of 1,000 cubic meters per hour. Other work involves a new water treatment plant, two transmission mains, sufficient water storage for 24-hour supply, and renewal and extension of distribution systems.

Pre-qualification documents, in English, may be obtained from the address below for 1,250 meticals or US$50 by cash or certified check. Applications are due by 2:30 p.m. April 23.
