National Hydropower Association plans 2007 conference

The National Hydropower Association has announced its next annual conference, March 15-18, 2007, in Washington, titled �HydroPOWER: The power of moving water.�

NHA Executive Director Linda Church Ciocci said the 2007 conference would provide a forum to build beneficial relationships among policymakers, stakeholders, industry members, and the media. The conference is to feature committee meetings and sessions on legislative and regulatory issues, communications techniques, and advancements in technology.

NHA is a national trade association representing the interests of the hydropower industry. Its members operate more than 61 percent of domestic, non-federal hydropower capacity and nearly 80,000 MW in North America.

Registration forms, including online registration, will be available in November. �Early bird� registration will be offered through Dec. 31, 2006, at a fee that will be $150 less than the on-site fee.
