Pakistan seeks bids to build Winder Dam

Pakistan’s Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) seeks bids for civil construction and steel work of the Winder Dam storage project on the Winder River in Balochistan Province. Bids are due May 28.

The solicitation is a reissuance of a tender previously offered in 2007. (HNN 11/15/07) The engineering-procurement-construction contract includes civil engineering works for: contractors camp, offices, housing, roads, telecommunications, and electrical; road relocation; diversion arrangements; main dam; dike; fuse plug; spillway; dam outlet works; main canal and distributaries; and drainage structures. Electro-mechanical works include hydraulic steel works for design, supply, and installation of gates and miscellaneous equipment.

The work is to require 46 months.
