Pakistan seeks construction, steel work for Winder Dam

Pakistan’s Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) seeks bids for civil construction and steel work for the Winder Dam storage project on the Winder River in Balochistan Province. Bids are due October 15.

The engineering-procurement-construction contract includes civil engineering works including: contractors camp, offices, housing, roads, telecommunications, and electrical; road relocation; diversion arrangements; main dam; dike; fuse plug; spillway; dam outlet works; main canal and distributaries; and drainage structures. Electro-mechanical works include hydraulic steel works for design, supply, and installation of gates and miscellaneous equipment.

The work is to require 48 months.
