POWERCHINA shares its efforts to fight against COVID-19


With China being the epicenter of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, POWERCHINA International Group shared how it has supported the fight so far.

POWERCHINA is a comprehensive construction group that offers solutions global energy and power, water resource and environment, infrastructure and real estate industries. The company highlights hydro power projects and industry chain integration.

Company leaders Chairman Ding Zhengguo and General Manager Ji Xiaoyong stressed their concern and said they aim to provide needed materials to the impacted areas, as well as to the company’s employees and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a spokesperson, the company tapped into its global supply network to buy medical materials for Central China’s Hubei province. The company sent 86,000 medical masks to Hubei and 15,000 sets of medical protective clothing to Wuhan. POWERCHINA has donated an additional 5,000 masks to Wuhan.

Additionally, POWERCHINA contacted domestic and foreign auto manufacturers to aid in the need for ambulances and was able to donate three new high-end negative-pressure monitoring ambulances to hospitals in Hubei.

As of March 24, the company says it has supplied 25,686 sets of medical protective clothing, 5,908 sets of surgical gowns and more than 1,000 sets of goggles, gloves and shoe covers, in addition to the items mentioned above.
