Romania seeks pipeline system, Stejarul hydro

Romania’s Ministry of Public Finance seeks bids for construction of a water pipeline system including a micro-hydro project. Bids are due April 20.

The contract is for an extensive water pipeline system between Poiana Uzului reservoir and Bacau city. Works include construction of 45 kilometers of new pipeline in steel or ductile iron, rehabilitation of 18 kilometers of concrete and steel pipeline, intake works, a pumping station, power supply lines and substations, two free-level reservoirs, a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for the water transport system, and a micro-hydropower project at Stejarul administration station, including connection to the local grid.
