Rwanda seeks consultants for wetlands management plan

The government of Rwanda invites expressions of interest from consultants to help establish a national wetlands inventory and management plan. Responses are due December 11.

The Ministry of Lands, Environment, Forestry, Water and Mines (MINITERE) and the Rwanda Environment Management Authority seek consultants to establish a rapid national wetlands inventory and classification of Rwanda wetlands based on biophysical, ecological, and socio-economic criteria. The selected consultant also would draft five wetlands-related ministerial orders to implement laws related to wetlands management.

The consultant team is to have experience in environmental and natural resources management, geographic information systems and remote sensing, socio-economics and environment, and legal environmental issues.
