Rwanda seeks supervision of construction, equipment for three hydros

Rwanda’s Ministry of Infrastructure invites expressions of interest from consultants to control and supervise construction and equipment supply for three small hydroelectric projects at Keya in Rwanda’s Western Province. Responses are due November 7.

The ministry previously called for bids in several solicitations to actually build and equip the projects, 640-kW Nkora, 300-kW Cyimbili, and the two-unit 2.27-MW Keya. Bids for construction are due October 24, with bids for equipment due October 31. (HNN 9/22/08)

In the latest solicitation, Rwanda is utilizing funds from Belgian Technical Cooperation to fund the control and supervision of the project work.

Bid documents, in French or English, for tender notice No. 2451/UF&GRI/2008, may be obtained from the address below for 10,000 francs (US$18), deposited in the National Bank of Rwanda account No. 110.00.01, labeled “Account of Ordnance Officer.”
