Smith named chief strategy officer for MWH Global

David A. Smith is now chief strategy officer for MWH Global.

In this position, Smith will be responsible for leading the company’s global business strategy development and implementation program and all corporate strategic initiatives. Key areas of focus will include establishing strategic priorities based on client, competitor and market trends; increasing the focus on implementation and execution of the MWH strategic plan in support of business growth; and working across the organization to implement the strategy.

Smith joined MWH Global in 1997 and has held many roles within the company, most recently as executive director leading a water industry campaign in the United Kingdom. Smith has more than 30 years of utility and infrastructure market experience. He has an MBA from Henley Management College and holds board director positions within a number of MWH operating and joint venture companies.

Smith will be based in Warrington, United Kingdom.
