Swaziland seeks study of Ngwempisi hydro cascade

Swaziland Electricity Co. (SEC) seeks bids from consultants to study the Ngwempisi hydropower cascade on Swaziland’s Ngwempisi River. Bids are due April 8.

SEC seeks bids from engineering consulting firms to perform a full feasibility study and pre-design study of the project, estimated to be three hydro plants totaling 120 MW.

A site visit is scheduled March 5, to leave from SEC headquarters in Mbabane at 9 a.m. Tender documents may be obtained for 500 lilangeni (US$50) from the Commercial Services Manager at the address below.

Bids, in a sealed envelope labeled “Tender No. 1 of 2009/2010 for Ngwempisi Hydro Power Cascading Scheme Full Feasibility and Pre-design,” are due by noon April 8 to the address below.
