Swedish utility seeks equipment for rehab of 140-MW Lasele

Utility Vattenfall AB Vattenkraft seeks bids for installation of cable systems as part of the refurbishment of the 140-MW Lasele hydroelectric project on Sweden’s Angermanalven River. Bids are due April 25.

Vattenfall seeks complete installation of two fully operational XLPE-cable systems connecting two transformers of 100 megavolt-amperes to overhead lines. They are to replace existing 220-kilovolt oil-filled cable systems installed in 1956.

The transformers are installed underground. The cables are to be installed in two existing vertical shafts, of about 14 meters high, leading to the termination yard. The work is to be performed between August and November 2009.

Bidding documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in English or Swedish, are due by April 25.
