Switchgear rehab sought for two Austria projects

Verbund Austrian Hydro Power AG seeks applications for pre-qualification to renovate switchgear at the 179-MW Ottensheim-Wilhering and 210-MW Wallsee-Mitterkirchen hydroelectric projects on Austria’s Danube River. Responses are due by March 13.

Verbund seeks renewal of two 0.4-kilovolt switchgear units with an option for renewal of two additional switchgear units. Carried out over 24 months, work is to include disassembly of existing equipment and planning, computation, supply, assembly, start up, and documentation of replacement equipment.
