Turkish hydropower developer EnerjiSA Enerji Uretim A.S. seeks bids to build three hydroelectric projects totaling 409.92 MW on Turkey’s Seyhan River. Bids in two solicitations are due October 14 and 19.
In July, the European Investment Bank agreed to lend 135 million euros (US$213 million) to EnerjiSA to support construction of eight hydroelectric projects, totaling 955 MW, in southeastern Turkey. (HNN 7/23/08) EnerjiSA, a joint venture of Turkish conglomerate Sabanci Holding and Austrian utility Verbund, previously won an 865 million euro (US$1.3 billion) credit agreement from the World Bank’s International Finance Corp., Turkish commercial bank Akbank, and European commercial bank WestLB headquartered in Germany.
85-MW Menge, 145-MW Kopru
EnerjiSA seeks bids by noon October 14 for civil construction and hydro-mechanical works of the 85-MW Menge and 145-MW Kopru hydroelectric projects. Each project is to include a roller-compacted-concrete dam on the Seyhan in Adana Province. Menge is to have a 330-meter diversion tunnel of nine meters in diameter. Kopru is to have a 560-meter diversion tunnel of 9.5 meters in diameter. The work is to be completed in 36 months.
Bid documents for the Menge and Kopru solicitation may be obtained from the address below until October 4. Bids must be submitted in Turkish.
EnerjiSA seeks bids by noon October 19 for civil construction and hydro-mechanical works of the 179.92-MW Kavsakbendi hydroelectric project. The project also includes a roller-compacted-concrete dam on the Seyhan in Adana Province. It is to have a 2,263-meter power tunnel of nine meters in diameter and two 7.9-meter-diameter diversion tunnels of 531 meters and 330 meters in length. The work is to be completed in 36 months.
Bid documents for the Kavsakbendi solicitation may be obtained from the address below until October 9. Bids must be submitted in Turkish.
