Turkey seeks equipment to interconnect three hydro projects

Turkish Electricity Transmission Corp. (TEIAS) seeks bids for insulators for transmission links to interconnect three hydroelectric projects. Bids are due August 22.

TEIAS said it intends to apply part of a World Bank loan to fund a 74-kilometer, 380-kilovolt single-circuit transmission line for the 300-MW Borcka (HNN 4/25/07), 670-MW Deriner, and 540-MW Yusufeli hydroelectric projects. It took bids for construction of the lines in February. (HNN 1/3/07)

The current solicitation seeks US160 AS insulators or composite insulators for the lines linking the projects.
