Ukraine seeks governors for six hydro plants

Ukraine utility OJSC UkrHydroEnergo seeks bids by July 18 to supply governors for 42 generating units at six hydroelectric projects.

Employing a US$106 million loan from the World Bank, the government of the Ukraine is carrying out a hydropower rehabilitation program to improve operational stability and reliability of hydroelectric plants.

In Bid No. UHE/T-SG-02/06, UkrHydroEnergo seeks bids to supply governors for 42 hydropower units at the 444-MW Kaniv, 361-MW Kyiv (or Kiev), 225-MW Kyiv Pumped-Storage, 686-MW Kremenchuk (or Kremenchug), 661-MW Dnipro 2, and 351-MW Kakhovka hydro projects. Equipment is to be delivered over five years.
