UPDATE – Bids due for Reunion Island’s 60-MW Riviere de l’Est

Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids for a turbine-generator and other equipment for the 60-MW Riviere de l’Est hydroelectric project on Reunion Island, a French overseas department off the east coast of Africa. Bids are due February 22.

EDF seek proposals to supply and install a turbine-generator and auxiliaries, spherical valve, and penstock connections for a unit of at least 20 MW to be added to the project. EDF has plans to increase Riviere de l’Est to 80 MW by 2009. (HNN 1/17/07)
