UPDATE – Bulgaria seeks studies of four dam sites

The government of Bulgaria invites expressions of interest from consultants to study four dam sites under a municipal water supply program. Responses are due November 22.

With World Bank financing, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works plans to seek bids for a municipal infrastructure development project to improve provision of water supply services, including rehabilitation and completion of dams. (HNN 10/27/06)

In the current solicitation, the ministry seeks consultants to support the rehabilitation and completion of four dams. For each site, the consultant is to prepare an options assessment, an assessment of dam site and existing works, and a feasibility assessment. The work is to require about 30 person-months from January-July 2007.
