UPDATE – Pakistan again extends construction bid date for Winder Dam

Pakistan’s Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) again extended the bidding deadline for civil construction and steel work for the Winder Dam storage project on the Winder River in Balochistan Province. Bids now are due December 15.

The engineering-procurement-construction contract includes civil engineering works including: contractors camp, offices, housing, roads, telecommunications, and electrical; road relocation; diversion arrangements; main dam; dike; fuse plug; spillway; dam outlet works; main canal and distributaries; and drainage structures. (HNN 10/4/07) Electro-mechanical works include hydraulic steel works for design, supply, and installation of gates and miscellaneous equipment.

The work is to require 48 months.

Tender documents, in English, may be obtained from the address below for 15,000 rupees or US$250 by bank draft to General Manager (Projects), WAPDA.
