UPDATE – U.S. again extends bid date to equip 25-MW Yakima

The Bureau of Reclamation has extended for a second time the due date for proposals to replace excitation systems at its 12-MW Chandler and 12.937-MW Roza power plants, part of the Yakima hydroelectric project on the Yakima River in Washington. Proposals now are due June 11.

Proposals previously were due May 28. (HNN 5/9/08)

BuRec said it needs a contractor to furnish and install two static excitation systems at Chandler, northeast of Prosser, and one static excitation system at Roza, northeast of Yakima. The agency estimates the work to cost between $1 million and $5 million.
