UPDATE – U.S. resets bid date to equip 25-MW Yakima

The Bureau of Reclamation has extended the due date for proposals to replace excitation systems at its 12-MW Chandler and 12.937-MW Roza power plants, part of the Yakima hydroelectric project on the Yakima River in Washington. Proposals now are due May 28.

Proposals previously were due May 13 for a contractor to furnish and install two static excitation systems at Chandler, northeast of Prosser, and one static excitation system at Roza, northeast of Yakima. (HNN 4/15/08) The agency estimates the work to cost between $1 million and $5 million.
