U.S. awards $1.89 million contract to equip 25-MW Yakima

The Bureau of Reclamation awarded a $1.89 million contract to Eaton Electrical Inc. to replace excitation systems at 12-MW Chandler and 12.937-MW Roza power plants, part of the Yakima project on Washington’s Yakima River.

Eaton Electrical, Bellevue, Wash., submitted a proposal for the work in response to a solicitation. (HNN 5/28/08)

The company will furnish and install two static excitation systems at Chandler, northeast of Prosser, and one static excitation system at Roza, northeast of Yakima.

BuRec made the award in September. It said the work is scheduled for completion in November 2009.
